Gilda López is currently the Director of Customs and Foreign Trade at the Mexican Association of the Automotive Industry (AMIA). She holds a Law Degree and has over 20 years of experience in customs and foreign trade.
From 2001 to 2022, she served as the General Director of Evaluation at ANAM and held various leadership roles, including Head of the Central Administration of Customs Operations, Administrator of Customs Modernization, Administrator of Planning and Strategic Coordination, Administrator of Foreign Trade and Customs Regulations, and Deputy Administrator of Foreign Trade Audits at SAT, among other key positions.
Her significant contributions include the development of general foreign trade regulations for implementing ATA Carnets in Mexico, the Mexican Foreign Trade Digital Window (VUCEM), the Customs Clearance Operation Document (DODA), and the Customs Technological Integration Project (PITA). Gilda also holds diplomas in national security from SEDENA and international taxation from ITAM, and she has been recognized by the World Customs Organization for her work.
