Mónica García has been responsible for driving procurement, supply chain and logistics strategies at General Motors de Mexico (GMM) since March 2020. She leads a team focused on KPIs in quality, cost and delivery, partnerships and contracts, for suppliers and partners who supply GM plants in Mexico. She is also responsible for logistics, including transporting materials and containers to and from GM’s Mexico plants, as well as vehicle logistics. Mónica García has worked more than 30 years for GM in a variety of supply chain and procurement roles of increasing seniority, from supplier quality engineering to global purchasing, vehicle programming, and leading purchasing for specific models, such as the Chevrolet Onix. She has a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN) and an MBA from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM).
