Ricardo Alvarez, Supply Chain Solutions Vice President for Ryder Mexico, a subsidiary of Ryder System, Inc. a supply chain and transportation management solutions company, and part of the FORTUNE 500®, based in Miami, Florida.

Alvarez joined Ryder in 1999 as Operations Manager after three years in the import/export sector for several international companies. With more than 25 years of experience in supply chain, international negotiations and trade compliance, Alvarez has increased his responsibilities over time within Ryder being responsible for strengthening and expanding Ryder's capabilities in Mexico through the implementation of strategic initiatives in all industry sectors.

In recent years as leader of different functional areas, including Sales, Solution Design, Marketing and Supply Chain Excellence for Ryder Mexico, Alvarez was able to develop business relationships with new clients and implementing new services for existing clients in various industries, and just recently took the position of Supply Chain Solutions Vice President for Ryder Mexico where he also act as the Managing Director for the company in the country.

Alvarez holds a Diploma (D1) from the Pan-American Institute of Business Management (Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresas - IPADE), a MBA from the University of Monterrey (UDEM) and a degree in International Business from Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM).
